Short audiovisual chronicles created during five editions of the Morelia International Film Festival, combining interviews, observational footage, and moments from the life of the festival.

Between 2013 and 2017, I worked as part of the audiovisual media team of the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), producing short-form chronicles throughout five consecutive editions.

These pieces combined interviews, observational footage, screenings, public events, and spontaneous encounters with filmmakers, actors, musicians, and international guests. Rather than functioning only as event coverage, many were conceived as brief documentary portraits shaped around a conversation, a presence, or a particular moment within the festival.

My work included cinematography, interviewing, editing, and post-production, developing approximately seven capsules and a festival memory film per edition for television, social media, and the festival’s official platforms.

Selected Guests & Conversations

The chronicles include encounters and interviews with figures such as Al Gore, Guillermo del Toro, Diego Luna, Gael García Bernal, Willem Dafoe, Audrey Tautou, Marco Antonio Solís, and Casey Affleck.

The format varied from direct conversations to brief observational pieces built around public appearances, screenings, and events, allowing each video to retain the immediacy of the festival while developing its own small narrative.
